Patch Day!

One more post here…jeez, I get to caught up in stuff at times.  Yeah, so today is the highly anticipated 2.4 patch day.  I have been saving up my honor points on Drollam for the new and improved PVP rewards, supposedly the Season Arena 2 gear will be available for purchase using honor points gained by participating in the battlegrounds.  I am pretty excited about that too.  I need to focus on leveling up Drollam to 70 now and start doing daily quests and grinding for the flying mount.

I know there is a ton of stuff in the patch, I skimmed through it last week, but for me the biggest thing is the pvp rewards, new content is always welcome and brings new challenges and areas to explore.  One of the favorite things for me to do is to go explore new zones and check out new vistas.  Can’t wait to see what is in store for us today.

The Old School

First of all let me start out by saying if you are easily offended, then stop reading this post now, secondly, this is a fury driven rant because I am forced to work with people who are old enough to be my parents and yet act like teenagers….

It would take me a week to shed light on the history that is the shop where I work.  Some of the civilians have worked here for decades, engrained in their mindset and unwilling to change with the times.  But, for those of you unaware, I am active duty Air Force, I have been in for over 14 years now, my job is in transportation, vehicle operations/ dispatch specifically.  But, that is just a portion of what I have to do on a daily basis.  Currently I am filling the position of shop superintendent, the number 2 guy so to speak under our chief.  I go to staff meetings, send out emails, deligate shit to people, make sure training is up to date, write evaluation reports, ensure everything is running smooth as possible.

Alright, let me say I have what I would consider a cordial relationship with a certain someone who is a retired Sergeant Major, he has been a civilian employee here for decades and knows everything that goes on.  But, he still isn’t in charge of anything except the other civilian employees, yet, he continues to take it upon himself to be the go to guy for big projects, he has the personality of a rhino, but at the same time, if you get to know the guy, he will bend over backwards to help you.  I have never been in the Army, but I have had the chance to work with them very closely while sent over to Iraq.  They operate a lot different than the Air Force, more old school in a lot of ways, and believe me this guy is the definition of old school.

The rants have been ongoing for a long time and I know I’m not the only one who thinks he is fucking dickhead.  There isn’t any other words you can use to describe the man.  I could go on about it, but I must get back to work…wouldn’t want the American taxpayers to get mad…

Crow Moon

Something that I have been wanting to share here is the fact that I have a strange infatuation with werewolves and things related to them.  I also enjoy films and the lore related to vampires, but the cycle of the moon and idea of the moon having an impact on how people behave has been fascinating to me.

The way it is portrayed in films makes it like a blessed curse if that makes any sense.  For example, you are given this “gift” to become something else, something with heightened senses, but also, you don’t have any control over your actions, you are driven by instinct and hunger.  Basically becoming an unstoppable monster who only seeks to consume everything it can while in the transformed state of being.

The Worgen in World of Warcraft are pretty amusing.  I wish druids could get the ability to shapeshift into one of them, perhaps it could be a feral skill upon reaching level 80…who knows…

Anyway, enjoy the fullmoon out there tonight all, keep your windows shut and your doors locked, cause you never know who might be out in the night…

Work In Progress

As you can see I am getting everything together here, it is actually a bit easier than I had anticipated.  I plan on changing my header image, I am looking for any digital artists out there willing to lend me a hand with a bit of cropping and stuff let me know, you will get full credit and a thank you from me…not like that’s worth much..but you know.

Will continue to categorize posts that are still uncategorized, harder than you might think.

Thoughts of combining my blogs…

Good day to you readers out there in the world.  I have a serious, well, not so serious as it is a change to how I am thinking about proceeding with my blogging.  Some of you might be aware, yet others might not, that I have had a personal blog for quite a while now at seansflow.com.  This blog has evolved over the few short years of it’s existence, but I have tried to remain true to just sharing whatever it is that is on my mind at the time.

This blog, Lost In The Grind, is fairly young in comparison, but I feel like I should combine these two blogs and have one location for me to share my gaming and life stories here with you…

So all I am asking is for a simple yes or no, to combine or not to combine…If I do make it happen I would attempt to merge my personal blog with this one and use this web address since the majority of my visitors and readers are here at this location.

Comments are appreciated…yes, no, don’t care either way, I will take what you have to say into major consideration before I decide to do this, thanks in advance.
