Beast Lord Armor – Hunter Dungeon set

I have decided to focus on getting the Beast Lord Armor set. Since I started playing this hunter right before the BC release I figured I might as well start here instead of trying to go back and get the tier .5 gear it only makes sense…so here is a short summary of it with locations to find it as well…

Beast Lord Curiass drops from Warp Splinter, endboss of Botanica in Tempest Keep
Beast Lord Handguards drops from Warchief Kargath Bladefist, endboss of The Shattered Halls in Hellfire Citadel
Beast Lord Helm drops from Pathaleon the Calculator, endboss of The Mechanar in Tempest Keep
Beast Lord Leggings drops from Warlord Kalithresh, endboss of The Steamvault in Coilfang Reservoir
Beast Lord Mantle drops from Warlord Kalithresh, endboss of The Steamvault in Coilfang Reservoir

So, before I go through the trouble of getting attuned for Karazhan this will be the first order of business for Giznad.

The joy of being 70, Is that all there is?

It was a long hard road, but I finally made it to that magic number of level 70…all the quests after this reward me with vast riches and my wealth is bound to accumulate substantially from this point on…yeah right!
Well, as far as getting gold for quests, yes that is true, but after buying the flying mount training and the gryphon I am left with wondering, will it ever end? I mean I know this is a game with no final act where they say, thanks for playing, see you when the next expansion comes out, but man, they have mastered the art of sucking you in that you don’t even see how much of a stranglehold it has on you until it is too late. Grasping for air, asking the Dr. where you are…normal stuff for some people…but this is a game, I love it, is that wrong?
As far as the good side of the whole story, I really enjoy the freedom the flying mount affords me, quests are so easy to finish now cause you don’t have to manipulate your way through a whole bunch of mobs to click on one little thing, instead, just swoop in like superman, finish and off, off and away! Yeah, and pvp is more enjoyable as well…what little I do partake in that.
I picked up a level 60 boar from EPL this week with the idea that he will become my super tank pet, since blizzard hates hunters, this is the feeling I get, I can’t help it! They don’t have any pigs that you can tame in the outlands…why? I don’t know…so I have been leveling my pig, porkfatrules, and getting my skinning skill up there at the same time.
I got a valuable lesson in how to kite an elite boss yesterday, since I have only watched the hunter run out of blackhand’s room with rhen close behind I didn’t get much training in that part of being a hunter, so yesterday was crash course in kiting a mob without it killing you…which once I figured out the distracting shot, with aspect of the cheetah and cuncussion shot combo it was too late he had caught me and resisted my feign death…oh well, now I know, and that is half the battle :P
On a side note, over the years of playing this game and starting a small guild and joining a few others, making friends and losing them due to whatever reason, I have realized my rule of NOT LENDING GOLD TO ANYONE is a good rule to have. Because of the fact that there is no actual lending process set in a contract once you give someone gold you never know if you will ever get it back. So to anyone out there reading this, I don’t lend gold to anyone, don’t take it personal, it is my rule, if you feel like it is because I don’t trust you, then all I can say is sorry, but I don’t ask for gold and I don’t give it away…period.
Until next time I will be lost in the grind working on my reputation, my gear and my epic flying mount fund…good luck out there!

The Final Stretch to Level 70

I’ve been working hard completing tons of quests and as of 6 p.m. yesterday I was at around 40% through level 69. The last upgrade of skills included snake trap, which is my new best friend when it comes to traps. The trap when set off releases close to 10 snakes, vipers, etc. each one inflicts poison effects on the victim draining hp and slowing the target, also they draw aggro off my pet and myself which is great in those close calls…
I spent the majority of the weekend in Netherstorm. It is almost amazing how quests there are to complete there, so many chains and various other group quests to complete add up the experience points very quickly. I tamed my latest pet in the eco-dome he is a lynx cat, was level 68 when I got him, named him Ira. I have been on this latin name kick lately, the name loosely translates to wrath, which I thought was appropriate for a pet, he has learned all the additional skills he can, dash is essential at times and growl a must for any pet in my opinion.
I plan to reach end level 70 by the end of the week if all goes well especially with rested XP giving me that extra little advantage. I got my skinning up to 315, I haven’t done much mining and actually am considering switching my profession, not sure to what yet, I have enough gold saved up for my non-epic flying mount, but that epic one is going to take some time to buy, with the 5800 gold cost that might take months to reach, who knows, maybe I can start running some instances and getting some good gear to sell on the auction house.
Quests in the outland on average will give you between 4-7 gold each depending on difficulty and if I can’t use any of the gear that is the reward I try to pick the most expensive and vendor it for gold.
I really enjoy questing because it makes the time go by so fast and the XP gained is awesome.
I am enjoying my new guild, HSOIW as well, spending some time on teamspeak I have got to meet a few people, I need to get a mic that works so I can join in some conversations.
I installed uniloader from rpgoutfitter.com it updates my character’s information automatically, which is neat to see, I will post a link for it in the future.
Until next time, keep on grinding, it’s a dirty job but somebody’s got to do it!

Yes, I have been hard at it as usual, so many quests, so little time, spent most of my time soloing the quests, today, I grouped up with a few different groups and knocked out some elite quests in Nagrand, which is by far my favorite zone in the Outlands. The scenery, the quests, everything a Hunter could want, Hemet Nesingwary is there, and he gave me a really nice gun for completing his long chain of quests.
I joined up for some PVP action as well, earned enough to get a new belt…I have a ravager and a windserpent as pets now as well…considering a raptor in the future, not sure yet.
With the elite quests, come the occasional nice blue item, finally getting some good gear, which is a plus.
I left the ABSOLUTION guild yesterday, basically the guild was dead, I feel bad, but I joined up with a guild called, HSIOW, from a George Carlin standup, Holy Shit It’s Only Wednesday! So far, things are going well, oh I haven’t mentioned the amount of gold you can earn, I purchased my elite ram and now am back up to 400 gold, I don’t buy much off the AH, occasional upgrade here and there…saving up for that flying mount once I ht 70…
If anyone is ever on the Sen’jin server alliance feel free to give a shoutout to me, Giznad I will be more than happy to hang out, quest, whatever….

The Burning Crusade

It always comes down to that one word doesn’t it? That word is WOW! You know you see the little films and the youtube videos that weren’t supposed to be released…but when you finally make that trip into the dark portal for yourself it’s like starting the game all over again. Which in a way you are, by that I mean, this is a whole new world to explore and discover and kill and hang out and all that great stuff WoW is made up of…
Some advice from me would be to have your skills maxed out to 300 because at honor hold there is almost every profession trainer there to take you to the next level, and you want to keep leveling your professions believe me.
To get to the outlands simply go to the blasted lands just south of the swamp of sorrows, it is a short flight from Stormwind. There is a guy standing in the pit who has a quest to give, take it and step inside and make a left and turn it in, take the bird to honor hold and there you go…
BEWARE THE FEL REAVER!That mofo can come on you so fast that you don’t have a chance at surviving…He is a giant mechanical thing that wanders all over hellfire peninsula.

Fel Reaver

Thursday, the day I finally started playing there were a whole bunch of other people trying to complete all the same quests as me, but in a way it was good because blizzard has changed the spawn rate system so that the more people killing mobs the faster they respawn, it was to the point of nonstop killing these 2 or 3 mobs for me in one area where you have to collect the talismans…the drop rate was crappy as usual and nobody was partied because that would take away from your xp points earned, and that is another thing, with over 200k rested XP getting over 1k a kill is nice…
I hit level 61 with Tabeyus yesterday, he is my feral druid. alt or main whatever, I enjoy playing him as well as Giznad…who by the way hit level 58 yesterday, I am considering entering the portal, but hesitant, because I know how hard it can be in there, so I might at least level to 59 before taking the leap forward…
In any case from what I have seen so far Blizzard has once again outdone itself with the latest expansion…I couldn’t believe it when I heard there are people at level 70 already, I mean come on, are they freaking zombies?! Do they sleep? Until the next update, I will be lost in the grind.
