What D&D Character I Am.

I was browsing my google reader this morning as I usually day on a daily basis and I came across one of those tests someone had taken.  Kinless shared his results and I figured why not…most of the time it depends on the mood I am in, but for the most part the results are pretty accurate.  Anyway, without further ado..

I Am A: Lawful Good Human Paladin/Ranger (3rd/2nd Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-13

Dexterity-15

Constitution-16

Intelligence-15

Wisdom-15

Charisma-14

Alignment:
Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment because it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Paladins take their adventures seriously, and even a mundane mission is, in the heart of the paladin, a personal test an opportunity to demonstrate bravery, to learn tactics, and to find ways to do good. Divine power protects these warriors of virtue, warding off harm, protecting from disease, healing, and guarding against fear. The paladin can also direct this power to help others, healing wounds or curing diseases, and also use it to destroy evil. Experienced paladins can smite evil foes and turn away undead. A paladin’s Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast. Many of the paladin’s special abilities also benefit from a high Charisma score.

Secondary Class:
Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter’s dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger’s Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

The Morning After…

Not sure what the actual problem was, but this morning as I was trying to do my early morning auction house scan the server was acting a bit odd and there were people complaining about random disconnects…last night the servers seemed to be working just great…maybe it is some sort of aftershock effect, I have no idea how that works…but it was frustrating when I am in the middle of sending a message via the mailbox and it won’t send…then I get disconnected…I try to go to the other server I play on and I get the character selection and click enter, then it says, the world server is down…hmmm?

Anyway, I went in search of the upgraded PVP rewards, I guess my hopes of Season Arena 2 being available to purchase with battlegrounds honor isn’t true..yet…but, I did get a black war ellek for Tabeyus…I love it!  He is huge, I will post a screenshot and let you see…I love riding around town and standing on top of people, completely covering them up…hehe

I am going to get some firewater and some elixir of growth and see how HUGE I can get on my new mount…I promise I will share it here with you all…

Patch Day!

One more post here…jeez, I get to caught up in stuff at times.  Yeah, so today is the highly anticipated 2.4 patch day.  I have been saving up my honor points on Drollam for the new and improved PVP rewards, supposedly the Season Arena 2 gear will be available for purchase using honor points gained by participating in the battlegrounds.  I am pretty excited about that too.  I need to focus on leveling up Drollam to 70 now and start doing daily quests and grinding for the flying mount.

I know there is a ton of stuff in the patch, I skimmed through it last week, but for me the biggest thing is the pvp rewards, new content is always welcome and brings new challenges and areas to explore.  One of the favorite things for me to do is to go explore new zones and check out new vistas.  Can’t wait to see what is in store for us today.

The Old School

First of all let me start out by saying if you are easily offended, then stop reading this post now, secondly, this is a fury driven rant because I am forced to work with people who are old enough to be my parents and yet act like teenagers….

It would take me a week to shed light on the history that is the shop where I work.  Some of the civilians have worked here for decades, engrained in their mindset and unwilling to change with the times.  But, for those of you unaware, I am active duty Air Force, I have been in for over 14 years now, my job is in transportation, vehicle operations/ dispatch specifically.  But, that is just a portion of what I have to do on a daily basis.  Currently I am filling the position of shop superintendent, the number 2 guy so to speak under our chief.  I go to staff meetings, send out emails, deligate shit to people, make sure training is up to date, write evaluation reports, ensure everything is running smooth as possible.

Alright, let me say I have what I would consider a cordial relationship with a certain someone who is a retired Sergeant Major, he has been a civilian employee here for decades and knows everything that goes on.  But, he still isn’t in charge of anything except the other civilian employees, yet, he continues to take it upon himself to be the go to guy for big projects, he has the personality of a rhino, but at the same time, if you get to know the guy, he will bend over backwards to help you.  I have never been in the Army, but I have had the chance to work with them very closely while sent over to Iraq.  They operate a lot different than the Air Force, more old school in a lot of ways, and believe me this guy is the definition of old school.

The rants have been ongoing for a long time and I know I’m not the only one who thinks he is fucking dickhead.  There isn’t any other words you can use to describe the man.  I could go on about it, but I must get back to work…wouldn’t want the American taxpayers to get mad…
