Updates on Everything

It has been a while since my last post here, so much has been going on that I lose track of time…and I don’t call people I should…I really need to have a phone permanently connected to the side of my face so I think about it more…oh well, shit happens, life goes on.
And, I will start out by saying the house remodel project from hell (HAHA!) is going quite well, nothing extraordinary expensive has popped up, yet, fingers crossed, and things look much better, at least we are transitioning from the early 80’s to at least the early 00’s. On that note, we have a couple contractors hooking up our bathroom with new drywall, doing lots of rewiring, they replaced our old ceiling fan, which to me turned out to be the best investment we made so far, besides the kitchen appliances of course. The next big project involves tearing down the wall in between the front 2 bedrooms in order to move the master suite in there along with rearranging the bathroom, what we have now is a tiny toilet/sink area and then next to that is a tiny closet size shower, it will be turned into a bigger room with a nice size tub, no whirlpool, but at least enough room for 2 people to fit into comfortably. My wife has been priming and painting faithfully, I have to give her props, cause I don’t think I would have the endurance to paint all that she has so far, it looks great…carpet and tiles for the floors is another thing we are doing…got to tear out the old stuff which is glued down to the subfloor! AHH! Need to replace our sliding doors, front door and put some plywood down in the attic to aid in eliminating the cold and will be hot drafts due to the ceilings being drop ceilings…good in theory, not in application I suppose. The fireplace works, with the wood insert, but was modified for easy movement, there is plastic casters on the bottom, but that leaves a good 2 inch gap underneath it where cold air flows right in, it is stuffed with the old nasty insulated ceiling tiles we took out of the kitchen…oh yeah its great…
Hmm, gutter went up over the deck area, not an expert at it, but enough caulking and the awesome new tool, the rivet gun, saved the day there, have to make some modifications for the drain, and check on a small leak we have…the list goes on and we haven’t even started on the basement yet…that will be fun though…it is my domain, with the rearranging of bedrooms and the grand creation of my home theater! On gaming news, I am playing World of Warcraft and enjoying my new character, Malun, human warlock, I play on the US Blackhand server, after all the patches and updates, I was off and running in a matter of an hour or so, stupid me, when I cancelled my subscription with Blizzard, I deleted almost all of my stuff and or sold it to give to my guild members, well, I didn’t know that they just suspend your account, and my characters from last year are still there, so I got a loan from the guild to get new gear, thank God I didn’t get rid of my mount…jeez…so yeah, I tried out some battlegrounds with my level 60 nightelf warrior, it is fun, the wait sucks sometimes, but enjoyable, trying to accumulate some wealth again by farming for coin and doing some raid runs for some better gear…I am a noob right now when it comes to the gear I wear…oh yeah, can’t forget about my level 42 dwarf hunter, giznad, he is fun, I still have the lvl 42 rare red wolf from the badlands, he is cool, green eyes, he looks like he has rabies…well, things are going at work, had my 2 weeks off and came back for 2, knocking out some reports due on some guys I supervise, taking 3 more weeks this month, hope to spend some time with the kids…get a lot done on the house and of course spend some quality time with Ronda, my wife, wish her a Happy 40th Birthday on the 5th of March!!!
Yea! You are only as old as you feel, I feel like I am 80 somedays….
